SKILLS COMPETITION
Court 4 in the Ruth Lilly Fitness Center
Scheduled start times for divisions:
Division 1 and 2 – 11:45 AM
Division 3 and 4 – 12:15 PM
Division 5 – 12:45 PM
Please arrive 10 minutes before your division’s start time.
Registration opens when the Opening Ceremony ends, approximately at 11:20 AM.
Individual Skills Competition will be held on Court 4 in the Ruth Lilly Fitness Center, with the
first division starting at approximately 11:45 AM. Athletes will check-in on the lower level of
RLFC, outside the west entrance to Court 4. Athletes can take the elevator or the stairs as the
registration table will be located by both. Seating for family and friends is on the upper level of
RLFC. Divisions 1 and 2 will start at 11:45 AM, divisions 3 and 4 will start at 12:15 PM, and
division 5 will start at 12:45 PM. Please plan to arrive 10 minutes before your division’s start
time and stay near the check in table afterwards, as awards will take place shortly after the
completion of your competition.

SPECIAL EVENTS
All of the following will be in Ruth Lilly Fitness Center from 11:30 AM until 3:30 PM.
Obstacle Course: Room 038 (Lower Level)
Athletes will be able to participate in an obstacle course.
Parachute: Room 036 (Lower Level)
Athletes can play a variety of parachute games including waves, where the parachute is held
tightly and participants move their arms to make small or large waves.
Musical Chairs: Room 114
Music will be played while the athletes walk around the chairs. As soon as the music stops, the
players must land a chair. One player will not land a seat and is eliminated, and one chair is
removed from the circle for the next round. The game continues until one player remains.
Simon Says: Room 114
Athletes will be able to play and obey the commands of what “Simon Says”.
Dancing: Room 128
Athletes will be taught choreography or dance moves by the UIndy Dance Team.
Photo Area: Room 130
Athletes will be able to use props and take photos with their teammates, coaches, or loved
ones to remember their time at the 2018 Special Olympics Indiana Youth Basketball Tournament.
Ring Toss: Room 132
Athletes will toss rings around a peg and play up to 21 points, setting a point goal for
themselves or competing against one other.
Indoor Bowling: Room 132
Pins will be set up and athletes will bowl, trying to knock down as many pins as they can.
Hoops for Health – Room 140
Athletes will be asked to pick out healthy foods and/or answer yes/no questions. They will
shoot a beach ball into a hula hoop to answer the question.
