Special Olympics Indiana – Ripley Ohio Dearborn Counties launched a new website to provide its athletes, coaches, volunteers, families and supporters with more information than ever before and in a more colorful and interactive package.

The program’s domain, www.soindiana-rod.org, remains the same. However, visitors to the site will discover new interactive features that bring easy-to-understand information closer to home. One of those features is a complete, up to date calendar of events. Another lets athletes and coaches search and view training videos. The site also includes updated information on all sports and programs offered, coaching guides and tips.

“Special Olympics Indiana – Ripley Ohio Dearborn Counties continues to grow to meet the needs of our athletes, their families, our volunteers, our coaches and our supporters – bringing new technology, new training and new programs,” said Greg Townsend, Program Coordinator. Many thanks to Curtis Johnson, our Public Relations Coordinator, and Jesse Laub, our IT/GMS Coordinator for their efforts in creating our new site. Launching the site, with a content management system that we manage saves the program an annual expense of about $950.

The new site is brighter and easier to navigate, and features an interactive calendar of practices/trainings and events and listings of the latest news. “As our program continues to grow, so will the website,” Townsend said. “We want it to be informative and inviting.”
