T he annual Fire Truck Pull in partnership with the Lawrenceburg Fire Department was held on Saturday, August 20th at the Hollywood Casino overflow parking lot on US 50 in Greendale. Teams of fifteen or less had to pull a 74,000 pound Lawrenceburg Fire Dept ladder truck fifty feet in the shortest amount of time. The event raised over $10,000 dollars.

Teams included Anytime Fitness (Aurora), Advocare Big Ed (Cinti), Lawrenceburg Fire Dept., Lawrenceurg Elks, South Ripley High School, Team Drew (Athlete, Family, and Friends), Hot RODs (athlete team) and the Knights of Columbus.

Taking home the first place trophy, again, for the fastest pull was Anytime Fitness, in second place was Advocare Big Ed, and the Lawrenceburg Fire Dept coming in third. South Ripley High School was recognized with the school challenge trophy.

Team raising the most money went to Team Drew at $4,574. Chris Powell raised the most as an individual at $1,200 and Special Olympics athlete raising the most was Drew Schnebelt.

The event also included fun for kids at the Safety Town and Touch-A-Truck events.
